Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Barrhead, AB, is seeking a casual/relief Food Service I at Barrhead Healthcare Centre. You will perform routine tasks related to basic food preparation, packaging, portioning, and serving meals to patients and customers.

Applicants must be physically capable of lifting up to 46 lbs, pushing/pulling meal carts up to 250 lbs, and standing for shifts. Grade 10 or equivalent is required; training will follow.

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Physically capable to lift up to 46 lbs and push/pull meal carts up to 250 lbs.
• Walk and stand on feet for the duration of shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks associated with basic food preparation per AHS standards and procedures.
• Package and portion food items according to set guidelines and menus.
• Serve meals to patients and customers and maintain clean and sanitary areas.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, dishes, tables and serving areas.
