Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks a Food Service I to support patient and resident meals within the Nutrition Food Service team at the Rimbey Hospital & Care Centre. You will perform routine tasks aligned with AHS standards, including packaging, portioning and serving meals, plus cleaning and sanitizing equipment and areas.

The role requires Grade 10, physical capability to lift and move items, and flexibility with shifts in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Physically capable to lift food, supplies and equipment up to 46lbs and push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs.
• Walk and stand for the duration of your shift.

Responsibilities

Description:

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer service experience.Food service experience.Experience in a hospital or long term care environment.Experience with inventory management; receiving deliveries, managing expiry dates and minimizing waste while utilizing “First in- First Out” procedures.Experience with Industrial Food Service Equipment.Food Safe Certificate or equivalent.WHMIS training.
