Job summary

IKEA is hiring for a Food Co-worker in Canada. You will support dishroom and cleaning routines, learn kitchen and food preparation skills, and contribute to a positive guest experience.

You’ll work closely with teammates to handle busy service periods while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a hands-on approach, with training to help you grow within IKEA Food.

  • Support the dishroom and cleaning routines to keep the operation clean, safe, and organized.
  • Receive training to develop skills and support kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Create a positive customer experience by being friendly and approachable with customers and co-workers.
  • Work with the team and jump in during busy service periods.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety across IKEA Food.
  • Assist with food preparation and service with care, consistency, and attention to quality.
  • Follow food safety practices, including allergen awareness and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Take responsibility for your part of the operation while supporting the team’s success.
