Job summary

Gate Gourmet Canada Inc. is seeking a motivated supervisor to lead 30+ unionized food production staff in a high-volume facility. You will ensure safety, quality, HACCP compliance, and adherence to airline specifications, while controlling labor and material costs.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to train and coach employees. A background in production, union environments, and cost management is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supervisory experience in high-volume food production.
• Experience supervising unionized employees and knowledge of a CBA.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cost-control skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 30+ hourly employees in a unionized food production setting.
• Ensure HACCP, FDA, AAFC and safety regulations and company policies are followed.
• Prepare management reports on attendance, HACCP and labour.
• Responsible for safety, quality and compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain daily temperature logs and other required reports.
• Oversee scheduling, labour planning and shift coverage; manage overtime.
