Job summary

Walmart Canada in Oakville, ON is seeking a store associate to assist in Food & Consumables leadership, respond to inquiries, and develop associates through teaching and training. You will ensure high customer service levels while completing tasks and supporting merchandising and scheduling efforts.

The role involves leading team huddles, coordinating coverage, and working with the Store Management Team to drive performance and training opportunities. Wage starts at CAD 21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to coach and develop associates.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers.
• Coordinate task completion based on priorities from Food & Consumables Coach and Store Management.
• Assess department presentation and implement merchandising changes where needed.
• Lead daily team huddles and keep the team updated on goals and productivity.
• Review schedules with People Lead and allocate staffing as required.
• Identify training opportunities and develop associates through coaching.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment per policy and procedures.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and support management.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring new associates.
