Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park is seeking a dynamic Food and Beverage Supervisor. This position is ideal for the individual who aspires to manage multiple operations and continue the growth toward the next management level in Food & Beverage.

Start Date: August 2026. Contract Type: Permanent. Pay Rate: $27.68 per hour. You will oversee guest interactions, reservations, and daily resources while mentoring colleagues and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of Food and Beverage experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Post Secondary Degree in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management is an asset.
• Previous Food and Beverage Leadership experience.
• Displays high initiative and requires minimal supervision and direction.
• Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Display an active presence in dining rooms and public areas, engaging guests and colleagues.
• Assist with dining reservations.
• Monitor resources to ensure tools are available to deliver service.
• Support ongoing development, growth and job satisfaction of colleagues.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting (billing, payroll, etc.).
• Monitor labour costs and expenses to meet month-end targets.
• Set a positive example through dress, grooming and performance.
• Inspect uniforms, menus, cutlery, linen, china and glassware for consistency.

Job Duties Include

• Display an active presence in our dining rooms and public areas interacting with guests and colleagues
• Assistance with dining reservations
• Monitor resources ensuring the tools are available to deliver the service our guests expect
• Ensure the ongoing professional development, growth, and work satisfaction of all colleagues
• Ensure all financial reporting is maintained and accurate (billing, payroll etc.)
• Monitor and manage labour costs and expenses daily with a focus on meeting and improving on month end targets
• Set a positive example for Food & Beverage colleagues through exemplary dress, grooming and self-discipline in addition to monitoring colleague performance in these areas
• Inspect Food & Beverage uniforms, menu selection, cutlery, linen, china, and glassware & equipment/tools on a regular basis. To ensure they are clean, well maintained and consistent for each outlet
