Job summary

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity invites applicants for a Food and Beverage Server role. Join our hospitality team at the Maclab Bistro and Vistas dining room to deliver friendly service to artists, participants, and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or a related customer-service role.
• Alberta ProServe certification required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and deliver excellent service.
• Enjoys interacting with a diverse group of guests.
• Able to manage time proactively to ensure consistent service.
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

The Opportunity

As part of our award-winning hospitality services, Banff Centre features a numberofdiningoptions for guests andprogramparticipants. TheFood & Beveragedepartment is looking for a friendly, team-oriented Server to assist in the smooth and efficient operations of services at the Maclab Bistro, special functions, small outlets and Vistas dining room.

Specific Accountabilities

Qualification and Educational Requirements

• Previous hospitality experience as a food-service attendant or in a related customer-service focused area
• Completion ofAlberta ProServecertification
• Able to work under minimal supervision while providing excellent customer service
• Enjoys interacting with a diverse group of people (artists, leadership participants, conference delegates, etc.)
• Budgets and organizestheir time proactively to provide consistent and enjoyable service
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

Special Requirements

• Due to the nature of the job, this position requires the candidate to be available to work a flexible, irregular schedule and weekends
• Due to liquor license requirements, only candidates 18 years and older can be considered for this position

Employment Terms & Benefits

• In accordance with CUPE 4318, this is a unionized, hourly support staff position, subject to a 500-hour probationary period.
• This position pays $15.84 per hour working up to 37.5 hours per week on a rotating schedule.
