Job summary

Fort McMurray Islamic School in Fort McMurray is seeking a Grade 2 teacher to deliver ELA, Social Studies, Math, and Science within the Alberta programs of study. The position requires a Bachelor of Education and Alberta Teaching Certificate, with a focus on child-centered instruction, differentiated support, and collaboration with staff and families.

*Please note this is a grade two position. Teachers do not instruct any courses in the Islamic Program. The successful candidate will teach ELA, SS, Math, Science, & other classes listed in the Alberta Education Programs of Study.

• A strong knowledge of the curriculum and teaching experience in division 1 or division 2

All candidates must hold an Alberta Teaching Certificate; have knowledge of curriculum and teaching experience at those levels/subject areas and demonstrated interpersonal and classroom management skills.
