The Salvation Army International in Toronto Harbour Light Treatment program seeks a Floor Counsellor to provide professional, safe and structured support to clients. You will document contacts and ensure a secure environment, reporting through EMHware and coordinating with staff.
Ideal candidates have a Diploma in human services, 1+ year in social services, and experience in mental health or addiction recovery. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and adherence to program guidelines.

The priority of the Floor Counsellor is to ensure professional, safe and structured support to our clients in the Toronto Harbour Light Treatment program. The Floor Counsellor will behave professionally and courteously at all times, presenting a positive impression of Toronto Harbour Light to the clients living within the facility. The Floor Counsellor will document accurately and appropriately all contacts with clients and ensure the safety of the environment at all times.

Use or distribution of materials such as urine screens, office supplies, supplies required by treatment clients, including medications.
The performance of the job requires frequent keyboarding and sitting for long periods of time. Requires standing and moving around for long periods of time. The above responsibilities must be discharged in accordance with The Salvation Army’s Mission Statement, in a professional manner, exemplifying Christian standards of conduct.
Diploma in one of the human services professions, social services preferred Alternate level of education and experience may be considered
The target hiring range for this position is $21.28 to $26.60 with a maximum of $31.92. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
