Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Floater to take food and beverage orders and deliver items to dining room guests, ensuring timely service and adherence to safety standards.

You will communicate with the point of contact to confirm orders, handle special requests, and assist with ordering and monthly inventory while keeping areas clean and well maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food services industry.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests.

As a Floater, you will be:

• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
• Demonstrate complete understanding of managing different tasks and priorities
• Communicate directly with point of contact to ensure that orders are delivered correctly, and special requests are accommodated
• Promptly address complaints or issues, relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor
• Ensure that the service is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep the area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards
• Assist ordering and monthly inventory

About you:

• You have previous experience in the food services industry
• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Exceptional communications skills and ability to get along well with others
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items, and stand/walk for majority of shift
