CAE in Montreal is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on critical industrial equipment. You will be responsible for retrofitting installations, calibrating machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in Industrial Mechanics and knowledge of various industrial equipment. This full-time position follows an evening shift schedule after a training period.

Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment.
  • Carry out retrofitting and equipment installations.
  • Calibrate and adjust machinery and systems.
  • Identify defective components and perform repairs.
  • Manufacture complex parts when required.
  • Select appropriate materials and work methods.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of advanced techniques (laser alignment, vibration analysis).
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, machinery).
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
  • Experience working in industrial environments.
  • Ability to follow procedures and standards.
  • Experience with machining or CNC equipment.
Additional Information

The position follows a full‑time schedule of 5 days per week. During the initial training period (approximately 3–4 months), employees will work a combination of shifts, including 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Upon successful completion of the training period, the regular schedule will transition to a full‑time evening shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Union position: selection based on seniority and qualification. Candidates must pass written and practical tests.
