The role requires strong analytical and decision-making skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the flexibility to cover shifts, including nights and holidays. Excellent communication and coordination with teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Flight Dispatcher license issued by SACAA or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in flight dispatch or airline operations
• In-depth knowledge of aviation meteorology, navigation, and ATC procedures
• Proficiency in flight planning software and systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and issue flight plans considering weather, fuel, and ATC constraints
• Monitor flight progress and provide real-time updates to crews
• Analyze weather forecasts and NOTAMs for safe operations

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all national and international aviation regulations.
• Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records.

Requirements

• Valid Flight Dispatcher license issued by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) or equivalent international authority.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in flight dispatch or airline operations.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation meteorology, navigation, and air traffic control procedures.
• Proficiency in flight planning software and systems.
