Job summary

The Jim Pattison Auto Group in Surrey, BC is seeking an experienced Automotive Body Shop Technician for a full-time, permanent role. You will perform structural and cosmetic collision repairs, replace damaged panels, and work with estimators, parts, and paint departments to keep repairs on schedule.

We offer a flat rate hourly pay of $34.00, a 40-hour work week, tool and boot allowances, flexible schedules and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid provincial driver’s license.
• Automotive Body Repair Certification and I-CAR Structural Welding Certification are required.
• BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and cosmetic collision repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels and components.
• Straighten frames and unibody structures using specialized equipment.
• Weld, sand, fit, and prepare vehicles for the paint process.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
• Diagnose and document additional damage as needed.
• Work with estimators, parts, and paint departments to keep repairs on schedule.
• Reassemble vehicles including trim and safety-related components.
• Conduct final quality inspections for safe, professional repairs.
