Role Description

The Automotive Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Surrey, BC. This position is responsible for inspecting vehicles with collision damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and explaining recommended work to customers in a clear, professional manner. Day-to-day tasks include documenting damage, reviewing repair procedures with technicians, sourcing parts, and working closely with insurance companies to gain approvals and manage supplements. The estimator will update customers on repair status, coordinate scheduling with the production team, and ensure estimates align with company quality standards and OEM repair guidelines. This role requires consistent communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a positive customer experience from drop-off to delivery.

Qualifications
  • Strong automotive knowledge and experience in collision repair estimating, including familiarity with OEM repair procedures and parts sourcing.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and shop management systems (e.g., Audatex, CCC, Mitchell) and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in clear, accessible language.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple vehicles, deadlines, and insurance requirements.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting damage, writing estimates, and maintaining records.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, production managers, and insurance representatives.
  • Previous experience as an automotive estimator or in a collision repair facility is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or training in auto body repair, estimating, or automotive technology are an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Pay : $55,000 - $63,500 per year
