Job summary

Dilico Anishinabek Family Care in Thunder Bay is seeking a full-time Personal Support Worker Float to deliver in-home support and personal care, enabling clients to live independently at home. You will work with the Health & Wellness team, assisting with daily living, caregiver relief, palliative care, and related activities.

The role requires a PSW certificate (or willingness to obtain) and 2+ years of direct home care experience, with valid First Aid/CPR and a Ontario G driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year PSW certificate is required.
• Two years direct experience in in-home personal care or community home care is required.
• Willingness to complete Personal Support Worker training if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home support and personal care to ill, frail, and disabled clients in their homes and communities.
• Collaborate with Health & Wellness staff and Home Care Nurse to provide culturally appropriate support.
• Travel to district communities may be required; travel and accommodations are provided upfront with meal reimbursement.
