Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to be an integral part of the home and community care team in Canada. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide companionship, and support independence for patients in their homes and communities, following individualized care plans.

Responsibilities include ADLs, meals, light housekeeping, and travel to patient residences within a designated area. A valid PSW certificate, a driver’s license, and access to a vehicle are required.

• Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients
• Reliability and flexibility
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle within a geographic area

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, & peri-care
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan
• Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to help your patients enjoy a better quality of life
