Job summary

Qualicare Homecare is seeking compassionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs)/Caregivers to join our team. The roles involve providing personal care, meal prep, housekeeping, and companionship to clients in their homes, including dog care and outings.

We offer immediate openings with flexible scheduling, ongoing shifts to build relationships with clients, and opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with medical illnesses and age-related challenges.

Qualifications

• Personal Support Worker Certificate is required.
• Minimum 3 years of home care experience is required.
• CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
• TB test or chest X-ray negative.
• Must be able to travel within location territory with own vehicle.
• Access to Internet or mobile phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Meal preparation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Dog care.
• Accompany clients on outings.
• Shopping and errands.
• Medication assistance/reminders.
• Ambulation and transporting of clients.
• Provide companionship to clients.
• Follow care plans.
• Documentation/Charting.

Education

Personal Support Worker Certificate

Minimum 3 years of experience in home care

CPR/First Aid training

Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

Ability to travel with own vehicle
