Job summary

Beendigen is seeking a Housing & Maintenance Worker to manage daily operations and maintenance for Beendigen properties in Ontario. The role requires hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with leadership, maintaining records, and upholding safety policies while supporting Indigenous organizational practices and community housing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in building repairs or maintenance.
• Ability to follow policies and maintain records.
• Knowledge of basic trades and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of Beendigen housing and maintenance of properties.
• Perform preventative maintenance and timely repairs.
• Inspect units and ensure compliance with municipal and provincial standards.
• Maintain tenant files, rental processes and documentation.
• Communicate with leadership and external agencies as required.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in the workplace.
