Job summary

Carecor is seeking a Community Personal Support Worker for the Grand Bend, ON area. The role includes in-home personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep and companionship, working under a care plan in a casual schedule.

Based in the rural Grand Bend area, the position requires day, evening and weekend availability with on-site work. Immunization and BLS credentials are required, and candidates should be capable of independent, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate or nursing pathway enrollment is required.
• CPI certification is preferred.
• Clinical PSW experience in past 2 years recommended.
• BLS and N95 mask fit certificates required.
• Immunizations including MMRV, Hepatitis B, Tdap/Td must be current.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care per care plan, ensuring client comfort, safety and dignity.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, toileting, and medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship and emotional support.
• Document observations and report changes to supervisor or care coordinators.
• Follow infection prevention practices and participate in ongoing education.

Education

PSW certificate or enrolled in Nursing pathway program

CPI Certification (preferred)

Current BLS certification and N95 mask fit

Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella immunizations and Tdap/Td
