Job summary

CarePartners is seeking Personal Support Workers to support patients in the Corunna, ON area, delivering patient- and family-centered home care under supervision of the Personal Support Manager.

We offer competitive wages from 20.96 to 23.20 CAD per hour, a $750 signing bonus, paid mileage, orientation, mentoring, benefits, EAP, and flexible hours across multiple assignments.

Qualifications

• Current valid Personal Support Worker certificate or enrollment in a Nursing program.
• Vulnerable sector check with clear background.
• Valid driver’s license (G or G2) and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and medication assistance.
• Promote safety with proper body mechanics and transfers.
• Provide cognitive, social and emotional support to patients.
• Prepare meals per care plan while maintaining food safety and hygiene.

What The Role Involves

• Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care (rise and retire), assistance with household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, special functions
• Promoting a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
• Providing cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the patient
• Preparing nutritious, varied and economical meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan, using proper food preparation, storage, and hygiene practices.

• Availability to work non-traditional hours, such as early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
• A valid driver’s license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
• Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
• To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check
