Job summary

Sysco Central Ontario is seeking a Fleet Technician II to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment. You will diagnose complex issues, use specialized tools, and train junior technicians while ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, coordinating with vendors, and supporting a safe, efficient fleet operation in a dynamic distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years of experience in fleet maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using manuals and diagnostic tools.
• Must follow safety regulations and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle and equipment malfunctions using diag tools and manuals.
• Perform advanced repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Maintain maintenance records and parts inventory; adhere to safety protocols (DOT/OSHA).
• Train Fleet Technician I staff and coordinate with external vendors when needed.
• Maintain clean work area and assist with vehicle detailing as required.
