Job summary

Sysco Central Ontario is seeking a Fleet Technician II to perform advanced maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company vehicles and equipment. You will diagnose complex issues, operate diagnostic tools, and train junior technicians to uphold safety and efficiency.

The role requires independent work, strong attention to detail, and adherence to DOT/OSHA safety standards. Based in Central Ontario, this position focuses on maintaining a high standard of vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver's license; may require CDL endorsements.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Detail-oriented with safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other system malfunctions on vehicles and equipment.
• Use diagnostic equipment, specialized tools, and manuals to diagnose and repair problems accurately.
• Perform advanced repairs and replacements of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify issues before breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Train Fleet Technician I staff on procedures and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or parts.
