Job summary

The City of Saskatoon is hiring for a Fleet Services labour position. Under supervision, the role involves unskilled physical labour, minor maintenance and repair tasks within Fleet Services.

Responsibilities include delivering and picking up vehicles/parts, maintaining orderly shop areas, and performing routine maintenance on shop tools and equipment. Shift work and weekend hours may be involved.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education or equivalent.
• Six months experience operating machinery and power tools.
• Forklift operator certificate; training provided upon hire.
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence and SGI driver abstract showing a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of manual labour duties for Fleet Services operations.
• Delivers and picks up vehicles and parts as directed.
• Assists with keeping the shop and work areas clean and orderly.
• Performs routine maintenance and inspections on shop tools and equipment.
