Job summary

Galeforce Welding Inc. is seeking a skilled Fitter Welder to join our production team in Brantford, Ontario.

The candidate will read engineering drawings, lay out components, and perform MIG, TIG, Flux-Cored, and Stick welds to produce structural steel fabrications with strict quality/safety standards. Responsibilities include measuring, fitting, and welding, inspecting finished work, and operating shop equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Strong math skills and measurement accuracy using Vernier calipers.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols to plan layouts and material requirements.
• Measure, cut, grind and bevel metal components using hand and power tools and fit parts using jigs and clamps.
• Execute high-quality MIG, TIG, Flux-Cored, or Stick welds on ferrous/non-ferrous metals.
• Inspect welds and finished products for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
• Operate overhead cranes/hoists and set up welding machines safely; follow 5S and PPE policies.
• Collaborate with teammates and adapt to various manufacturing tasks as needed.
