Job summary

DJB Mining Products & Services Ltd. in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking Welders/Fitters for Structural Fabrication and Bucket shop. 2 positions available.

The role requires 3+ years of welding experience and relevant certificates, with a focus on blueprints, multiple welding processes, and shop work. Benefits include health, dental, vision and pension after probation. Must have high school or trade school, a valid license, and be able to work under supervision or independently in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• Must have a min. of 3 years experience.
• Must have a Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) National certificate.
• Must have a valid welding ticket in FCAW/GMAW.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Must be able to report to a team leader to take direction and work independently in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, PAW, SMAW, OAW, SAW.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other bending machines.
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
• Strong communication skills in English is an asset.
