Job description

CIMCO is looking for experienced Fitter-Welders for our facility in Burlington.

Jobs Available:

• Fitter-Welder: Fit weldments with proper root gap, bevel preparations. Those with experience will be preferred.

Role Responsibilities

• Using and maintaining specialized machines and tools
• Assembling components so they are ready for installation
• Reading and interpreting project plans
• Performing MIG, TIG, and other types of welding methods depending on the project
• Finding and fixing faults in pipework
• Carrying out planned maintenance checks

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan, and organize jobs and tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail
• Experience in a unionized environment
