Job summary

GoodLife Fitness in Markham is seeking a Customer Service Representative (Motivator) to warmly greet members, check them in, and guide guests through the club experience with a focus on service excellence.

You will be the first contact for members and potential members, answer calls, answer questions about memberships and club services, and promote available products while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment every day.

Qualifications

• CPR-AED certification required.
• Smart Tan certification within 3 months of employment.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse people.
• Customer-focused with strong service mindset.
• Team player who supports others.
• Approachable and good listener.
• Knowledge of the fitness industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Superior customer service and ability to align with company culture.
• Proficient with computers.
• Experience in customer service and sales is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Be Pleasant and Present with every greeting and interaction.
• Greet Members as they come into the Club and check them in for their workout.
• Greet Potential Members that have appointments or walk-ins and direct them accordingly.
• Handle incoming calls from Members and Potential Members, answer within three rings and take messages or book appointments.
• Assist Members with questions about FitnessFix and Cardio machines.
• Know memberships and club services to promote and sell products when appropriate.
• Use systems knowledge to answer questions, resolve issues, update info and upsell where possible.
• Handle comments and concerns courteously and professionally.
• Provide Fit-Fix Starter sessions for new and current Members.
• Complete club runs and cleaning to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Perform other tasks to ensure a positive Member experience.
• Attend required learning sessions and monthly meetings.
