Job summary

Techo-Bloc, a North American manufacturer and distributor of landscape products, seeks its first General Counsel to build and lead the legal function for Canada and the US. You will advise the CEO, shape governance and risk management, and lead major contracts and transactions across two countries.

This role offers strategic influence, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to establish a scalable legal function within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a law degree and be in good standing with a Canadian law society.
• 7+ years of legal experience with commercial, corporate, and governance matters.
• Experience advising executives on acquisitions, negotiations, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the legal function for Canada and the U.S., reporting to the CEO.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and corporate transactions.
• Oversee governance, risk, privacy, IP, and regulatory matters.
• Manage external counsel and build an in-house legal team.
