Job summary

ZSA Canada seeks its first Canadian General Counsel to partner with leadership across Canada, providing strategic legal guidance on risk, transactions, and compliance in a market-leading services organization.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, Canadian bar admission, and bilingual English/French preferred, with exposure to construction, labor and employment, IP, and data privacy; leadership in a business-facing role is essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.B. or equivalent law degree with admission to the Canadian bar.
• 10+ years of legal experience, with in-house or senior advisory roles preferred.
• Bilingual English/French is preferred for cross‑jurisdictional work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal partner to Canadian leadership, advising on strategy and risk.
• Oversee corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and regulatory matters.
• Lead responses to disputes, IP, data privacy, labor and Employment issues.
