Job summary

ESS Canada in Kitimat, BC is seeking First Cooks to prepare and cook food in a high-volume camp environment, following corporate standards and guidelines. You will ensure quality service and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities include mise en place, rotating and labeling products, and collaborating with operations. Shifts are 10 hours daily, Monday to Friday, with overtime after eight hours and benefits after three months.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in a banquet, restaurant or camp environment.
  • Food Safety Certification required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

  • Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Description

Prepares food in accordance with applicable corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Position Requirements:

  • Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
  • Shift: 10hr/Day, Monday to Friday

The hourly wage for this position is $27.25 .Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
