GardaWorld is seeking a Fire Watch Security Guard in Manitoba to monitor premises, identify hazards, and ensure exits are clear. You will remain alert, proactive and dependable, often working independently across sites such as construction areas or commercial buildings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Customer service duties like welcoming visitors, checking identification and guiding visitors
• Conduct regular patrols of the building or assigned areas
• Watch for fire hazards such as smoke, fire, or unsafe conditions
• Respond immediately if fire or smoke is detected by following site procedures
• Maintain a Fire Watch log (patrol times, observations, incidents)
• Notify building management and emergency services as required
• Maintain a visible presence for safety and compliance

As a Fire Watch Security Guard, the primary focus is on fire prevention and life safety. You are responsible for continuously monitoring the premises, identifying potential fire hazards, ensuring fire protection systems and exits remain clear and accessible, and responding promptly to any signs of smoke, fire, or unsafe conditions. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to act calmly and decisively in emergency situations, often while working independently across sites such as construction areas, commercial buildings, or temporarily unprotected facilities. This is a temporary long term coverage

P2: Tuesday to Saturday, 0000-0700

Responsibilities for Fire Watch Security Guard

• Customer service duties like welcome, check identification, and guide visitors
