Job summary

Levitt-Safety is seeking a hands-on VFSS Install Technician in Edmonton, AB. You will install, inspect, service, and repair Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems and related safety equipment at customer sites.

You’ll troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and support the shop team while traveling for on-site work and on-call duties. Training will be provided for the right candidate with mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Hands-on experience with vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery or a mechanical trade
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using technology such as iPads, phones and laptops
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract
• Comfortable with occasional out of town travel

Levitt-Safety is looking for a hands-on VFSS Install Technician to join our Edmonton Service team.

You’ll install, inspect, service and repair Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems (VFSS) and other fire & life safety equipment at customer sites. You’ll work on everything from vehicles and equipment to large mining machinery - and become a trusted Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers.

No VFSS experience? No problem. If you have strong mechanical skills, a knack for troubleshooting and a willingness to learn, we’ll train you.

What You'll Do

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair VFSS, fire extinguishers and related safety equipment

The Physical Stuff

This is a hands-on role. You’ll need to be comfortable:

• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working in tight spaces, including engine compartments
• Working at heights on large equipment
• Walking and working on uneven terrain
• Driving and sitting for extended periods
