Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Manager to oversee on-site execution of Fire and Sprinkler service projects in the Ottawa area. You will coordinate with Sales, Operations and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery, accurate billing and contract-aligned scope.

The role requires at least one year of field experience in building construction or electrical projects, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Project and MS Office. Travel may be required; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• One year of direct field experience in building construction or electrical project industry, ideally with Fire Alarm or Sprinkler experience.
• Ability to communicate technical material to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel based on project assignments and business needs.
• Proficiency with project management software and financial accounting systems (MS Project, MS Office, Visio, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead profitable execution of assigned small-dollar Fire/Sprinkler service projects.
• Provide sales and execution input during project development and strategy.
• Direct on-site execution teams to complete projects on time, within budget and contract scope.
• Manage cash flow and pursue change orders to maximize value.
• Develop project execution plans and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
