Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Code Consultant – Fire Protection to support complex infrastructure projects across Canada. This role focuses on the application and interpretation of Canadian building and fire codes, with a particular emphasis on firestopping systems, fire-resistance continuity, and life safety design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline and P.Eng eligibility is an asset.
• 5–10 years of experience in fire protection engineering or code consulting.
• Strong knowledge of NBCC, NFCC, and applicable provincial codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide code consulting on building code, fire code, and life safety compliance.
• Lead firestopping strategy development and ensure installation compliance.
• Prepare and review code reports, technical memos, and design narratives.
