Colonial Group in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a reliable Equipment Operator to join a hands-on finishing team. You will set up and operate finishing and packaging equipment, monitor production, and perform quality checks to ensure accurate, high-quality finished products.

Training on our specific equipment will be provided, and you will gain experience across multiple machines while contributing to a safe, organized production area with on-the-job learning and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operator or related equipment experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with production equipment.
• Ability to learn setup and operation of different equipment.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Strong attention to detail and product quality.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of finishing, packaging, and production equipment.
• Adjust machine settings and components according to job and production requirements.

• Check product counts, labels, and finished products for accuracy and quality.
• Identify and clear basic machine jams and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Perform general machine maintenance as required.
• Complete production records and enter information into computer databases.
• Label, organize, package, and prepare finished products for shipping.
• Organize stock and move materials and finished products as required.

Equipment Operator

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Finishing Equipment Operator to join our manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on production position where you will set up and operate a variety of finishing and packaging equipment, monitor production, perform quality checks, troubleshoot basic machine issues, and help prepare finished products for shipping.

Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, packaging, or similar equipment experience is preferred. Training on our specific equipment and processes will be provided.

Position Details

Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Department: Finishing
Shifts:

• Monday to Friday 6:30 am-3:00 pm
• Monday to Friday 2:30 pm-11:00 pm
• Monday to Friday 10:30 pm - 7:00 am

Starting Wage: $17.77+/hour
Location: St. James Industrial Area, Winnipeg, MB (near Route 90)

What You'll Do

Depending on daily production requirements, your responsibilities may include:

• Set up and operate a variety of finishing, packaging, and production equipment.
• Adjust machine settings and components according to job and production requirements.
• Monitor equipment during production to ensure it is operating properly.

Education & Experience

• Previous machine operator, manufacturing, production, packaging, or similar equipment experience is preferred.
• Experience with finishing, sheet-fed, packaging, printing, or related production equipment is considered an asset.
• Basic computer experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality and safety practices is an asset.
• Training on our specific equipment and production processes will be provided.
