Finish Carpenter
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
We are searching for a seasoned Finish Carpenter. Our ideal candidate will be a skilled tradesman who puts customer service and quality workmanship above all else with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work independently with minimum supervision.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold
- Complete assigned repair jobs for residential and commercial properties using a punch list
- Complete work orders as given by reconstruction department
- Communicate job progress with Estimators, Project Directors, Production Manager and/or Coordinators ls
- Complete measurements and calculate size and amount of material needed on assigned jobs
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to meet the job needs
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials on assigned jobs
- May be traveling to more than one job site per day
- Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop and in the vehicle
- Check work throughout the project to ensure it is up to code and specifications
- Complete assigned jobs within budget and on time
- Responsible for recording your time and coding it to the appropriate jobs

- Experience with all aspects of finish carpentry, crown moldings, baseboards, casing, door and window installs
- Experience matching stain and painting
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of carpentry skills
- Knowledge of, framing, structural work, and drywall
- Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad)
- Customer Service Skills
- Communication skills via phone and face to face
- Math skills in order to accurately measure materials and budget materials within estimates
- Critical Thinking skills
- Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS
- Ability to work safely with hand and power tools
- Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team of Technicians
- Ability to work within hazardous environments safely and complete Job Hazard Assessment Form
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely
- Ability to represent the company culture through our Truth, Values, Vision, Mission, and 10 Serving Basics
Required Experience:
- 3 years experience in the construction/repair industry as a Tradesman/Carpenter
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 5 + years experience in finish carpentry work
- Able to work at heights if necessary (roof)
Physical Requirement
- Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 25% of the time within a vehicle.
- Constantly moves about job sites
- Constantly positions self to move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces
- Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to complete jobs
- Ability to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents
- Ability to communicate and converse with customers and internal employees over the phone and face to face
- Frequently will lift up to 60lbs.
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
