This is an on-site job in Fort McMurray, AB

Collective Construction is a growing company that loves building outside the box. We have helped build unique projects, including civic projects and medium to large-scale developments, by executing our customers' visions.

We are seeking a Journeyperson or 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Carpenter in Fort McMurray, Alberta, who can help turn customers' ideas into reality.

Our team members enjoy working with an upbeat crew that values fun while getting work done. They are trusted to make their own decisions and are supported rather than micromanaged.

Based in town, you can be home by 5:30 PM every evening. Overtime opportunities are available for those who want or need extra hours.

We offer an excellent wage of $40 per hour for a Journeyperson, along with benefits, generous vacation pay, and up to 3 months of accommodation assistance for candidates needing to relocate.

We also provide profit-sharing incentives for team members who contribute to building our business. Transparency in project plans and budgets allows us to offer financial incentives based on completing jobs correctly and on time.

Here's our hiring process: Qualified applicants will first have an interview with our recruiting team. Successful candidates will then meet with the hiring manager for a final interview and, if successful, receive a job offer.

  1. Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
  2. Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements
  3. Lay out flooring, roofing, or drywall, ensuring they are level and compatible
  4. Build windows, frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed components
  5. Communicate professionally with customers to build trust and encourage repeat business
  6. Take measurements, calculate material requirements, and order materials as needed
  7. Inspect buildings and structures, conducting repairs and maintenance as required
  8. Complete work orders and administrative paperwork promptly
