Job summary

National Bank of Canada in Winnipeg seeks a Manager, Financing Solutions within Commercial Banking to act as a credit expert alongside account managers and partners. You will analyze credits, structure financing scenarios, and ensure proposals meet risk criteria.

You will collaborate with Commercial Account Managers and Senior Manager, Financing Solutions to determine client financing needs, negotiate terms, and drive efficient processing in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business or accounting fields.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial lending or banking would be an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality credit analyses per Credit Centre standards and make recommendations.
• Structure credit applications by mitigating risks and developing financing scenarios.
• Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers and Senior Manager to determine client financing needs.
• Negotiate credit terms with Credit Risk Management and confirm financing availability for the CCM.
• Gather comments from Account Managers, adjust applications, and present to RVP as needed.
• Produce and maintain documents and client files for efficient processing of credit applications.
• Serve as a resource on credit matters and support team development.
• Identify sector-specific risks inherent to banking activities.
