Job summary

National Bank of Canada is expanding its Commercial Banking team on Western Canada and seeks several Manager, Financing Solutions to support a growing client base and strengthen market leadership. You will underwrite and structure complex credit solutions and work with relationship managers to drive mid-market business.

Responsibilities include credit analyses, risk management, negotiating terms with Credit Risk Management, and producing credit applications with timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business or accounting.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial lending.
• Knowledge of risk management, banking and credit functions.
• Experience analyzing financial statements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality credit analyses and recommendations.
• Structure credit applications to fit client needs and risk criteria.
• Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers and the Director to determine financing needs.
• Negotiate terms with Credit Risk Management as needed.
• Prepare documents and update client files for credit processing.
• Support team with credit matters and skills development.
• Identify sector risks inherent to client activities.
