Kawartha Financial Services is seeking a Financial Services Representative to deliver investment products and member-focused financial guidance in Peterborough, ON. This permanent, full-time role emphasizes building portfolios and advising on budgeting, credit, and retirement planning.

The successful candidate will provide needs-based advice, pursue new business opportunities, and maintain strong member relationships while supporting company growth and delivering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business or financial planning is an asset.
• Minimum two years of sales or service and investment experience.
• Mutual Funds License active and in good standing.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Financial Services Representative (Permanent, Full-time)

Location:

The successful candidate must reside within three hours of Kawartha Financial Services' Regional Office in Peterborough, ON.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday

Rate of Pay:

$900.47 - $1,448.91 per week

Compensation:

Compensation for this position is determined by skills, experience, and education. It is aligned with the location's market data, as well as internal equity. Candidates whose qualifications more closely align with the job requirements may be placed higher within the compensation range. As a Financial Services Representative, you will:

• Specialize in investments, sell and deliver all investment products and services
• Contribute towards the growth of the investment portfolio by attaining individual goals and objectives on an annual basis
• Assist with the development of business opportunities to establish a profitable investment portfolio with the corporate objectives of the credit union
• Anticipate and determine the needs of members. Transact request or refer the member to the suitable service area.
• Provide needs-based advice, counselling members on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management and investment/retirement planning.
• Identify opportunities to generate sales and new members.
• Monitor the renewal of maturing investments. Ensure members receive appropriate notice, advising of alternative options and assist with renewals.
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members by providing excellent member service.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or financial planning would be an asset
• A minimum of two years of sales, service an investment administration and/or sales experience
• Advanced member service and sales skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Mutual Funds License, active and in good standing
• Willingness to complete additional educational components as required
