Job summary

State Street Corporation in Toronto is seeking an Associate 2 to prepare and analyze interim and annual financial statements for alternative investment funds in line with GAAP. You will ensure accuracy of disclosures, coordinate internal and external feedback, and progress issues to resolution.

You will contribute to developing technical expertise, train junior staff, and collaborate with internal teams to support hedge, private equity, and real estate fund reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS investment company financial statements.
• Previous experience servicing alternative investments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze interim and annual financial statements for alternative investment funds (hedge, private equity and real estate).
• Research, resolve or elevate issues as applicable and coordinate receipt of comments on drafts.
• Perform detailed first-level reviews of fund financial statements and verify disclosures and calculations.
• Develop technical expertise and train junior staff and new hires.
