About the Role

Reporting to the SVP, Finance Cannabis Operations, this role provides insights to the financial health of the organization through analysis, projections, and reporting. This position will work closely with the Commercial/Sales team and the Corporate Accounting team.

Role and responsibilities

• Ownership of month end reporting, analysis and consolidation of information from across the business to generate monthly financial pack.
• Support the development of the annual budget and rolling forecasts, including sales, cost of goods sold and departmental overheads.
• Creation and maintenance of reports and models to track the company’s progress through the year, including volume/mix/rate variances and department spend.
• Support productivity cost saving tracking and reporting.
• Be a trusted financial business partner to all departments across the organization.
• Contribute to the team’s strong collaborative culture by developing strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support initiatives and by fostering a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.

As an Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

• 5-8 years experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis role.
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Commerce or equivalent.
• Advanced Excel skills, required to consolidate data from multiple sources.
• Strong ERP base concepts (D365/Business Central, SAP, JDE, etc.).
• Power BI reporting experience is an asset.
• High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
• A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
• Criminal record check required.
