Job summary

iA Financial Group is seeking a Financial Performance Advisor (FP&A) in a hybrid Canada-based role. You will contribute to expense reporting, forecasting, and the analysis of financial information within the FP&A team. The position emphasizes rigor, data integrity, and collaboration with U.S.

entities and Western Canada. Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years in finance/FP&A, strong Excel skills, and experience in budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or related field.
  • Advanced English proficiency required for presenting analyses and interacting with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools for financial data analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams and support monthly/quarterly performance reviews.
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop dashboards and monitor financial performance by analyzing variances between actuals, budget, and forecasts.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across FP&A deliverables.
  • Forecast general expenses by updating projections and consolidating data from multiple sectors.
  • Communicate variances, risks and opportunities to support informed decisions.
  • Partner with teams to explain financial performance and respond to information requests.
  • Contribute to FP&A process improvements and tool optimization.

As a Financial Performance Advisor (FP&A), you will play a key role in general expense reporting and forecasting, actively contributing to the production and analysis of financial information within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. What you’ll accomplish with us
  • Ensure financial performance reporting and monitoring by contributing to the development of dashboards, analyzing variances between actuals, budget, and forecasts, and documenting key trends and drivers
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of financial data by maintaining consistency and integrity across deliverables
  • Actively participate in general expense forecasting by updating projections, consolidating data from various sectors, and supporting the analysis of key assumptions and variables
  • Identify and communicate variances, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision‑making
  • Act as a business partner by supporting teams in understanding their financial performance, responding to information requests, and contributing to monthly and quarterly performance reviews
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A practices by collaborating with the team, optimizing tools and processes, and developing business knowledge.

  • Has 5 to 7 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or a related field, with budget and forecasting experience considered an asset
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Has an advanced level of English proficiency, as the role involves producing and presenting financial analyses, participating in performance reviews, and supporting planning and forecasting activities with financial stakeholders and business partners, including U.S. entities and Western Canada, on a regular basis.
