iA Financial Group is seeking a Financial Planner to analyze complex financial, tax and estate planning scenarios for high-net-worth clients and professionals. You will support advisors, develop retirement and wealth transfer strategies, and contribute to tools and resources across the organization.

The role requires 5–6 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a financial services focus, and the FP designation.

What You Will Accomplish With Us

As a Financial Planner, you will be at the heart of our mission. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze complex financial, tax and estate planning situations and develop recommendations tailored to the needs of high-net-worth clients, professionals and business owners.
  • Contribute to the development of advanced wealth protection, accumulation, decumulation and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Act as a resource person for advisors and members of the Advanced Financial and Tax Solutions team, including translating complex financial, tax and estate concepts into practical guidance.
  • Participate occasionally in meetings to present recommendations alongside advisors and their clients.
  • Design and deliver training programs for distribution networks and contribute to the development of guides, technical reference materials and sales support tools.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new team members.
  • Monitor developments in financial planning, taxation, insurance and wealth management.
  • Assess the impact of legislative and tax changes on recommended strategies.
  • Contribute to the evolution of team practices, processes and service offerings by collaborating with various internal partners on special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in the enhancement of financial planning tools, calculators and resources used by advisors and the team.
  • Identify business needs, validate financial and tax assumptions incorporated into tools, and ensure the accuracy and relevance of the technical content developed.

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to simplify and explain complex financial, tax and estate planning concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Is recognized for excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Has 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial planning.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in financial services or a related field.
  • Holds the Financial Planner (FP) designation.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, initiative, rigor, reliability and sound professional judgment.
  • Has a strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understands the challenges faced by business owners, incorporated professionals and high-net-worth families.
  • Has an advanced level of English proficiency, as the incumbent will be required to collaborate both verbally and in writing with unilingual English-speaking partners on a daily basis.

The typical hiring range for this position is between $84,691 and $115,371; base salary may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience and internal equity.
