Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join our client in Kimberley. This hybrid role oversees accounting, FP&A, budgeting and reporting to drive financial strategy and operational excellence.

You will lead and mentor the finance team, ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance, and provide critical insights to senior management. Requires a professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) and at least 7 years of FMCG finance experience.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in FP&A software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations: AP, AR, GL, payroll.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
