Placements24 is partnering with a client to hire an experienced Accounting Manager who will lead finance operations in a fully remote capacity. You will oversee accounting functions, ensure data integrity, and drive policy development and financial planning.

The role requires IFRS expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor the accounting team while collaborating with auditors and senior management. Canada-based position with flexible remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ in management.
• Extensive IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Proficiency with SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per IFRS.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Manage audit processes with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Accounting Manager to lead their finance operations, operating under a fully remote model. This senior role involves overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

Requirements
