Position is with Triple K Transport Ltd., a well-established private trucking company located in Stittsville, ON.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced financial controller with the desire to manage all financial aspects of a successful mid-size trucking operation (50 employees).

Candidate reports to the owner and provides oversight and direction on all financial matters impacting the company. As a key member of the management team, the candidate ensures accurate and timely financial reporting and provides valuable insight and financial analysis to senior management to support the company’s objectives.

Individual must be a confident, self-starter, a quick learner with a solid financial background.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of the company.
• Oversee and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll while providing guidance, training and support to your team
• Evaluate and develop business protocols to increase process efficiencies, maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements and weekly financial and operational reporting.
• Oversee all government reporting requirements, HST/QST/PST, WSIB and other regulated filings as required.
• Organize information and statements for audits performed by external auditors.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team of 3 staff.
• Ensuring high levels of productivity and quality are maintained.

Qualifications and Required Experience

• Accounting designation or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years accounting experience in an accounting or financial management role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven analytical and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Ability to work closely with a senior management team
• Proficient in Excel
• Ability to speak French preferred
