Working out of our Kingsville, Ontario office

Melo LLP is currently seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team in Kingsville, Ontario. As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm’s financial decision-making processes by providing key insights, forecasts, and financial data analysis. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and an understanding of Ontario's regulatory and economic landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Examine financial statements and data, preparing reports and presentations for internal review.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Design and enhance financial frameworks to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Advisory: Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Variance Analysis: Monitor and interpret variances from budgeted figures, identifying trends and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to Ontario’s regulatory requirements, assessing financial risk, and assisting with internal audits.
  • Market Research: Conduct market and economic research to inform strategic financial decisions, specifically in the Ontario market.
