As a family-run company specializing in various custom solutions, this organization fosters a collaborative and friendly work environment with a dedicated team of employees.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team as soon as possible. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and mentoring two direct reports in purchasing and project management. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Supervise and mentor two direct reports: Purchasing and Project Managers
  • Collaborate with leadership to align financial goals with business strategy
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and operational improvements
  • Ensure month-end close processes, payroll, and accounts management are executed efficiently
  • Develop and maintain internal financial controls and policies
  • Work closely with Claude, a long-term employee, who will assist with training and onboarding

Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years of relevant financial experience, preferably within manufacturing or construction
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills
  • Excellent financial reporting and compliance expertise
  • Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt and contribute in a family-run, team-oriented environment
  • Motivated to learn, grow, and take ownership of financial operations
  • CMA or CGA designation preferred over CA
  • Open to candidates who demonstrate strong potential, even if they do not meet all traditional qualifications
  • Competitive salary range
  • Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate
  • A stable and well-organized business with a strong leadership team
  • Supportive company culture emphasizing training, development, and collaboration

Company Culture

This company values teamwork, collaboration, and adaptability. The business is financially sound, well maintained, and ready for the next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will not only bring strong financial expertise but also align with the company’s culture and long-term vision.
