Job summary

BCIT's Interior Design Department is recruiting for temporary, part-time instructors to deliver Flexible Learning courses in our Interior Design program.

Salary is CA$64.69 per hour. The positions require five years of related experience and a relevant diploma; CKBD/AKBA assets are appreciated. Flexible hybrid work arrangements are available for this role.

Qualifications

• Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Minimum five years of related current experience in residential design (kitchen and bath).
• NKBA membership eligibility and Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBA) Certification an asset.
• Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) Certification an asset.
• Hands-on experience with Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign would be an asset.
• Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work within, and develop, a collegial environment.
• Previous teaching experience or formal instructor training (PIO, ISW, PIDP) would be an asset.

BCIT’s Interior Design Department is recruiting for temporary part-time Instructors.

Salary: CA$64.69 hourly. Employment type: Part-time.

BCIT requires individuals to fill temporary, part-time Instructional positions for delivery of Flexible Learning courses on a term-by-term basis in our Interior Design, Flexible Learning Programs.

BCIT Flexible Learning runs three terms in twelve week blocks: September to December, January to March, and April to June, as well as a summer term from July to August.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Instruct and help students learn.
